Hockey NSW Level 1 Coach Course

Hockey NSW will be conducting a Nationally recognised HockeyEd Level 1 Coaching Course. There will be 2 course run at the following venues.

MacArthur Hockey Complex on Friday 7th June 2013 prior to the Open Women’s and State Championships.

Newcastle Hockey Complex on Saturday 8th June 2013 during the Open Men’s State Championships. The attendance to this course is compulsory if you do not already hold a current Level 1 Coaching accreditation or higher.

The theory component of this course will be conducted on the Friday evening before the start of the competition from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. The theory presentation will start with a special “Hockey in 2013” workshop presented by Warren Birmingham, which will go through the different structures and formations used at the national level and what they are looking for in a player to represent at this level. The second part of the presentation will be the theory component of the Level 1 Coach accreditation.

Hockey NSW assessors will conducting practical assessments of the people who attend the workshop on the games they are coaching throughout the championship. If you are not coaching on the weekend and you still would like to start your accreditation please attend the workshop and we will find someone at your local association to conduct your practical assessment.
