New to Hockey in Newcastle

Field Hockey in Newcastle NSW is an all-weather game which is played at the one location. All games are played at the Newcastle International Hockey Centre on Turton Road, Broadmeadow (next to McDonald Jones Stadium the home of the Knights). The 2024 Hockey season starts mid-March and concludes with a spectacular Grand Final Day in September for Seniors. There are competitions for Senior Men, Senior Women, Junior Boys & Girls and Modified play for under 10s.

Our new facility offers hockey players in Newcastle the opportunity to train and play on world class surfaces whilst the set up of the centre offers a real safe community culture to it. At Tigers we are a family club and commit to helping individuals improve their skills as hockey players regardless of their skill levels. Our coaching staff are skilled in their area of hockey and bring the sense of family and commitment to our club. Our playing structure caters for top grade representation in all levels of our club i.e. Senior Men, Senior Women and Juniors. This allows players to progress to the highest standard of hockey available within the Newcastle region, as well as providing for those players participating at a purely recreational level. Tigers is also a big supporter of the Minkey program for Under 6’s.
