Welcome to Tigers Hockey Club New Website

Welcome to the Newcastle Tigers Hockey club website. We are getting ready for a big 2013 season at Tigers.

The website will be the main communication method this year to all Tigers. Facebook will also compliment the website to help publish some of the news feeds quickly because the majority of you view from your mobile phones.

All existing Tigers have been added to the email list on the website so when one of the committee members “post” a news item, the website will automatically email you a link so you can view the news on the website. All news and other information related to men, women, junior girls and junior boys will be posted on the website. If you don’t want to view the news just delete the email.
The question I am hearing is “What if I don’t want to see news emails that aren’t related to me?”. I understand this can be a problem to some people because Scott can send out a lot emails in a season.

To solve this problem you have 2 options.
1.  Ignore the emails that aren’t related to you and delete them or.
2. Register as an registered subscriber on the website (which has benefits)

As a registered subscriber to the Tigers website you are able to select only the news stories that relate to you e.g. Men, Women, Junior Boys, etc. You will also be able to comment on news stories just like any blogging website you may have used.

Below is a link to the instruction on how to register and update what news feeds you would like to see. Remember if you don’t register and update the news categories you will receive all the club news correspondence.

By the way if you’re not a member of our Facebook page you can “Like” the page from the website (F icon at the bottom of the website).

If you want to be taken off the list and not receive any communication from the club please let me know.
